Hi,
I’m Venessa Williams, the marketing assistant for Aladdin & Simon Pulse imprints at Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing. I recently came across your site and thought you may be interested in offering a Free Book Download to the parents visiting your website .We are releasing this download of the first book in the Beacon Street Girls, a fun & clean series for tween girls, from 7/7/09-8/7/09. If you’d like a brief description of the book offered as a download, please see below.

If you’re interested, I can provide you with a banner gif for your site that links directly to the PDF. Or, I can send you the cover image and you can link to our website, which will also house the download. I’d love to work together in the future (i.e. book giveaways & contests for parents), so please let me know.

Best,
Venessa Williams

Beacon Street Girls: Worst Enemies/Best Friends

Yikes! As if being the new girl isn't bad enough, Charlotte just made the biggest cafeteria blunder in the history of Abigail Adams Junior High. There's no way that Katani, Avery, and Maeve will want anything to do with her now.

Can a mysterious landlady, a romantic evening gone wrong, and a cryptic key to nowhere help four very different girls become the best of friends? Or will they remain worst enemies forever?

Fairy Dust Tales written by Bess Adams is a great adventurous story. The book is about a 12 year old girl who moves to a new town and she struggles with being the new kid. The fairy world helps her to escape what is going on around her. This is a good read for a tween girl who is struggling with fitting in. The Fairy Dust Tales book can be found at www.fairydusttales.com.

Hi,
I'm the author of a middle-grade fantasy, "The Curious Misadventures of Feltus Ovalton" (Lobster Press Oct. 2006) with a sequel "Feltus Ovalton and the Awful Becoming" coming out this fall. I blog on my website about my experiences as a children's lit writer, the craft of writing, my favorite books both old and new, as well as anything else that pops into my over-active brain. I write a lot for teachers and librarians often inspired by the students at the workshops I lead at local school and libraries. Anyway I was wondering if you could list my site (www.feltusovalton.com) in your blog roll, and I of course would return the favor.
Thanks a lot.

I just came across your terrific blog and noticed that you are involved in teen and young adult literature.

Please allow me to introduce the Beacon Street Girls, a book series and website created especially to provide positive role models for preteen girls. The company’s mission is to provide engaging, high quality literature for “tweens” so we can impact their behavior in a positive manner

The company is committed to the health and well-being of preteen girls, and we work with various world-renowned experts on how to best present the ideas and issues embedded in each of the award-winning books. The books are heavily influenced by the world’s leading experts in childhood development, adolescence and children’s health and well-being.

To support the books, we have resources for parents, teachers, librarians, guidance professionals and group leaders. You can find book reviews, activity guides and downloadables on our site at http://beaconstreetgirls.com/Educators/BookInfo/tabid/182/Default.aspx. If you have any questions or want more information please feel free to email us back at beaconstreetgirls@yahoo.com We’d love to get your feedback.

Thanks!

Hi,

This looks like a great place. Do you ever review books on request? We have a fairly new site, www.undercovercleo.com with a mystery series, Undercover Cleo, in ebook formats for young adults. The books were previously published by Berkley, so they may also be in your library.

Thanks so much.
