Tweenlit started as a project for a library school class at the University of Missouri. I work at a library where I have great access to books for tweens. I’m trying to read as many of these books as I can.
You might notice some of the books I reviewed in the past are for older teens. I decided to leave those reviews on this site for older tweens who might be prepared to handle those books.
I’m always looking for tweens (anywhere from 7-12) as well as teens, teachers, and librarians who are interested in posting reviews of the books they’ve read. Register and comment here if you’re interested!

This looks like a great place. Do you ever review books on request? We have a fairly new site, www.undercovercleo.com with a mystery series, Undercover Cleo, in ebook formats for young adults. The books were previously published by Berkley, so they may also be in your library.

Hi,
I’m the author of a middle-grade fantasy, “The Curious Misadventures of Feltus Ovalton” (Lobster Press Oct. 2006) with a sequel “Feltus Ovalton and the Awful Becoming” coming out this fall. I blog on my website about my experiences as a children’s lit writer, the craft of writing, my favorite books both old and new, as well as anything else that pops into my over-active brain. I write a lot for teachers and librarians often inspired by the students at the workshops I lead at local school and libraries. Fairy Dust Tales written by Bess Adams is a great adventurous story. The book is about a 12 year old girl who moves to a new town and she struggles with being the new kid. The fairy world helps her to escape what is going on around her. This is a good read for a tween girl who is struggling with fitting in.
