They&#039;re not &quot;children&quot; any more, but they&#039;re definitely not ready for teen themes yet.  That&#039;s one of the reasons I find them and their literature so interesting.  And, yep, if you call a book for them a children&#039;s book, forget ever getting them to read it!  :-)</description>

I just found out I&#039;m a &#039;tween novelist!  Let me back up.  I&#039;m Steven Lee Climer, fantasy and horror novelist of children&#039;s/YA books.

Recently, my 7 year-old daughter informed my that my fantasy series Pieces of the World from Silver Lake Publishing (www.silverlakepublishing.com) was in fact a &#039;Tween book.  Her class is reading them, but hated the term Children&#039;s book.

What a revelation!
